About Us
Our Performers
Lyrical was formed in January 2019 and began singing together as a choir, the brainchild of Trent Harris and Philip Mitchell. They wanted to create a small choral group of local talented singers, musicians, and friends from Orihuela Costa, Punta Prima, and Torrevieja who just love singing together in 4-part harmony.
Our Philosophy
The philosophy of our choir is not to be restricted to any one particular genre of music. There is, however, one overriding requirement - the music must be beautiful and appeal to a broad cross-section of musical tastes. We aim to put on three main shows each year in the Orihuela Costa area - our spring concert is usually in May, our autumn spectacular takes place in Torrevieja in October, and our Christmas festive show is held in Punta Prima in early December.
Why Not Join Us
We are always happy to welcome new singers at Lyrical, whether you are a soprano, alto, tenor, or bass. If you would like to be considered for our joyful choral group, you will need to be able to read music, reside permanently in the Orihuela Costa area, and pass a simple vocal audition. If you're unable to read music, our Musical Director is always ready to guide you and help you grasp the basic fundamentals. We rehearse every week at Punta Prima, except during the summer months.
